Apparent Hit and Run Accident Injures Two

At 8:37 Friday morning a pickup truck driven by James W. Pyant, 65 of Florissant, Missouri. was traveling Eastbound on I-70 near milepost 126. in Cumberland County.  Pyant stated an unidentified semi entered the right lane that Pyant was occupying and the semi struck the truck causing a rollover crash.  

The Semi did not stop and left the scene of the crash. 

Pyant and a passenger, Jonathan R. Cook, 36 of Hazelwood, Missouri were both injured and transported by ambulance to Terra Haute Regional hospital in Indiana.

No charges have been issued as the accident remains under investigation.
