Hidalgo Resident Injured in Saturday Morning Crash

A Hidalgo resident was injured in a Saturday morning crash in Effingham County.

The crash happened at 10:25am on the Montrose/Dieterich blacktop, about a mile south of Montrose. 

Effingham County sheriff's deputies report 25-year-old Anthony Finney was traveling southbound when he lost control of his vehicle, which went into the west ditch and struck a utility pole.

Finney was injured and was taken to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

No citations were issued.
