Art Auction to Benefit Library After School Program

A silent art auction to benefit Effingham Public Library’s R.I.S.E. After School Program will be held at Joe Sipper’s Café from Monday, September 17 to Saturday, September 22.
“Fundraising for the Future” highlights 12 paintings that were donated by Stang ARTs Instructors and students.
The After School Program R.I.S.E. (Read. Innovate. Serve. Engage) will begin September 4.
A free after school program available to middle school students in the Effingham area, R.I.S.E. will provide enrichment and study time in a safe, welcoming environment.
“The library is beginning this program without additional funding so we are excited to see that the community has stepped up to help us get started,” Amanda McKay, Director of Effingham Public Library said.
