One Injured in Crash Near Montrose

One person was injured in a crash Friday morning near Montrose.

A car driven by 27-year-old Nicola Luta of Tacoma, Washington was northbound on the Montrose blacktop, a short distance south of Montrose, when Luta lost control of the car and it skidded off the roadway. The car came to rest in a large ditch.

Luta was injured and was taken to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

No citations were issued.
