Two Injured in Crash in Teutopolis Saturday

Two people were injured in a collision in Teutopolis Saturday morning.

Effingham County Sheriff's Department reports the crash occurred just after 9am at Wall and Main Streets. A pickup truck driven by 20-year-old Jordan Wellbaum of Teutopolis pulled into the path of a vehicle driven by 67-year-old Mary Evans of Montrose and the units collided.

Mary Evans and her passenger, 66-year-old Carl McClellan of Montrose, were injured and were taken to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

Wellbaum was cited for failure to yield when turning left.
