Driver, Passenger Injured in Jasper Co. Crash

The driver of a 2015 Red Chevrolet Silverado and passenger were injured in a crash at 5:20 a.m. in Jasper County and taken to Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney Thursday.

According to the Illinois State Police, Trevor G. Beal, 20, and Sophie A. Carter, 21, both of Olney were traveling northbound on Saint Marie Road, just south of Jasper CR East 300th  Avenue. The Chevrolet Silverado veered off the roadway and into the west ditch where it struck a culvert and began to flip several times before coming to a stop upright on the west side of the roadway.

Beal was issued citations for DUI-Drugs, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Improper Lane Usage.
