Decatur resident Keirsean Bond Wednesday was sentenced to 30 years in prison for his role in the death of Todd Feldkamp of Effingham.

Bond got the 30-year sentence after a Macon County jury found him guilty in May. The trial established that Bond did not shoot Feldkamp, but that his guilt was due to arranging Feldkamp and Scottie Bone of Effingham to travel to Decatur to do a drug deal with the intent of robbing the two when they arrived. Someone shot Feldkamp and Bone; the shooter is still being sought.

Bond was also found guilty of attempted first degree murder and armed robbery. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison on each of those counts and those sentences will run concurrent. However, they will not be served until Bond has completed serving his sentence for first degree murder. He will complete three years' mandatory supervised release once out of prison.

Bond could have received anywhere from 20 to 60 years in prison.
