Two individuals suspected in a Tuesday evening shooting in Bellair remain in custody.

45-year-old Jason Strawbridge and the victim's daughter 40-year-old Kristine Phillippe were arrested Wednesday by the Crawford County Sheriff's Department. The two were arrested following an investigation by the sheriff's department and the Illinois State Police into the death of 62-year-old Sandra Kendall.

Strawbridge was booked into the Crawford County Jail on charges of first degree murder as well as DUI and improper lane usage. Phillippe was booked on charges of first degree murder under an accountability theory and violation of an order of protection.

Crawford County State's Attorney Matthew Hartrich will be seeking prosecution of the two on the First Degree Murder and First Degree Murder (Accountability) charges.

The shooting took place at a residence in Bellair shortly before 8pm. The suspects were reportedly in custody within a half-hour of the incident.
