The three used a pipe to break through concrete blocks and bricks at the jail to escape in the early morning hours of June 16.

24-year-old Zachary Shock of McLeansboro was arrested Friday night was walking on a road south of Equality. Shock was armed with a shotgun, but was taken into custody without incident.

The final escapee, 61-year-old Johnny Tipton of Compton, Kentucky, was recaptured late Saturday night. Tipton was reportedly hiding in a camper near Cave-in-Rock.

Bond for all three had been set at $1 million for the escapes.

Shock was being held for first degree murder in the shooting death of a Salem man last September at a home in McLeansboro.
