Dieterich 4th of July Schedule

The Village of Dieterich once again has a big celebration planned for the 4th of July.

Things actually will get underway Tuesday night, the 3rd, with food from Country Rhodes at 6pm and the beer tent opening at 6pm. The band, "Flight Fifty" will play from 6:30 to 7:45pm and the band, "Old Crows and Young Cardinals" will play from 8 to 11pm.

Wednesday, the 4th, will be a full day. Here's the schedule:

7:30am-Firecracker 5K Run/Walk

7:30am-11pm--Beer Tent

11am-2pm--Civic Center Pork Burger Luncheon Meal for $5

11am-- Parade (entries line up at 10am at the high school parking lot)

11am--Concession Stands Open--Pork burgers, Brats, Lemon Shakeups, Loaded Nachos, Tacos in a Bag, Corn on the Cob, Ice Cream and more

Noon-8pm--Inflatable Bounce Houses

1pm--Youth Pedal Tractor Pull on the basketball court

1pm--Dieterich Quasquicentennial Merchandise for sale

2pm-6pm--"Thunder Road" band under the pavilion

2pm--Gravity Golf on the baseball diamond for all ages

2pm--Power Wheels Demo Derby, free

2pm-4pm--Face Painting, free

3pm--Turtle Races on the tennis court...take your own turtle

5pm--Bags Tournament...register until 4pm under the pavilion

7pm--Little King and Queen Contest

8pm--Merchant Raffle Drawings

9:15pm--Fireworks
