Six Arrests for Drugs Due to Task Force Work in Area

The South Eastern Illinois Drug Task Force (SEIDTF) obtained seven arrest warrants through the Marion County States Attorney’s Office pursuant to multiple drug investigations conducted in the area. The offenses included Delivery of Methamphetamine and Delivery of Controlled Substances.

On Wednesday, the South Eastern Illinois Drug Task Force (SEIDTF), the Salem Police Department, the Marion County Sheriff’s Department, the Centralia Police Department, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office and the Southern Illinois Drug Task Force (SIDTF) arrested six of the individuals. The names are not being released at this time due to the pending investigation.

The membership of the SEIDTF is comprised of the Illinois State Police, the Salem Police Department, the Flora Police Department, the Effingham County Sheriff’s Office and the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office. The cases will be prosecuted by Marion County State’s Attorney Bill Milner.
