An Edgewood man has been sentenced to prison.

20-year-old Brenden Barger was sentenced to 30 months in the Department of Corrections on a charge of obstructing justice for destroying evidence.

Barger was given credit for serving 28 days while awaiting disposition of his case.

A charge of possession of methamphetamine was dismissed as part of settling the case.

Barger had been arrested in May.
