Kluthe Pool Opening Date Remains Uncertain

The Opening of the Kluthe Memorial Pool in Effingham has been postponed due to multiple leaks.

Leaks were originally discovered after the pool was filled in preperation for the traditional opening date of Memorial Day Weekend. It was then discovered that the pool was losing approximately 8 inches of water a day. 

Specialist were called in and a total of 3 leaks were discovered, one under the leisure pool and two were found in piping under the main pool. The biggest leak is believed to be from a pipe right in the middle of the pool.

There is no estimated date on when repairs will be completed or when the pool could open. 

Reimbursements will be made to those who had made reservations for pool parties and the those who had already purchased pool passes.
