Robinson Men Injured In Jasper County Crash

A single vehicle accident sent two Robinson men to the Hospital just after midnight early Sunday morning.

At 12:20am Daniel W. York, 29, of Robinson was traveling west on Jasper County 1400 Ave just west of 1125 Street North of Newton. The Dodge Dakota that he was driving left the roadway to the right, crossed the ditch and struck a tree on the edge of the woods.  

Both Daniel York and a passenger, Austin W. York, 24, of Robinson were transported from the scene to HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

Daniel York was charged with DUI Alcohol, Improper Lane Usage, Failure to Reduce Speed, Failure to Wear a Seatbelt, and Expired Registration.

Austin York was cited for Failure to Wear a Seatbelt.
