Three people were injured in a single vehicle accident Saturday Morning at 9:15 on Interstate 70 two miles west of Effingham.

A blue 1998 Ford Expedition driven by  Juanita Obannon, 38, of Bentonville, Arkansas was traveling east bound on I-70 at mile post 90 when the driver stated she fell asleep, left the south side of the roadway striking the guardrail, rolling over and coming to a rest facing west bound.

Obannon and two passengers, Furman Clark, 39, and Brenda Lee Waggoner, 60, also from Bentonville, were all transported to HSHS St. Anthony Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

Obannon was charged with improper lane usage, illegal transportation of alcohol, no insurance, and driving while suspended. Clark was charged with failure to wear a seat belt and possession of drug paraphernalia.
