The trial of former area amateur basketball coach Barry Wolfe has been delayed for one month.

Wolfe faces 55 counts of either aggravated criminal sexual abuse or criminal sexual assault. The counts stem from alleged actions that occurred while Wolfe was an AAU basketball coach in the area in recent years. There are two alleged victims in the case.

In court Friday, the judge vacated the scheduled June 19 trial date after Wolfe's attorney requested a change in the trial location out of Coles County. In the meantime, a hearing on all pending motions in the case will take place June 19.

The new trial date is July 17.

The charges allege improper actions against two girls between the ages of 13 and 17. Wolfe was arrested in October. He is being held in Coles County Jail under $2 million bond.
