The Cowden-Herrick School Board continued to promote from within Thursday in hiring their junior high/senior high school principal.

The Board hired long-time teacher Brett Boehm as principal. Boehm will succeed Seth Schuler, who was recently hired as Cowden-Herrick superintendent, succeeding Darrell Gordon, who is retiring as of the end of June.

Boehm is teaching second graders at Herrick Grade School. He has also been a coach in the district. He was given a two-year contract.

Also at Thursday's special meeting, the Cowden-Herrick board accepted the resignation of Stefani Robinson as guidance counselor.
