Brownstown Board Approves Teacher Contract

The Brownstown Board of Education this week approved a collective bargaining agreement with the Brownstown Education Association.

Brownstown teachers had ratified the agreement earlier. No contract details were released.

The Board also:

--approved speech services contract with Stacy Gibson

--agreed to purchase an electronic marquee

--approved registration fees for the coming year, including--Elementary $95.00...Junior High/High School $120...Driver's Education--$50

--hired Christa Malone as a junior high Math/Science teacher

--authorized Superintendent Mike Shackelford to start work on a budget for the coming school year

--set a public hearing for June 18 to review an amended budget for the current fiscal year
