State Police report at 8:50 Saturday night a vehicle driven by Michael J. Rohr, 55 of Newton, and a vehicle driven by Marjorie N. Mugrage, 31 of Stewardson, were westbound on Route 33 just east of Jasper County Road 900 East when another auto operated by Kyle J. Zumbahlen, 18 of Newton, had just turned off of County Road 900 East on to Route 33.  The Zumbahlen vehicle went to County Road 1000 North and was going to make a left hand turn onto 1000 North.  Rohr went into the turn lane on Route 33 at County Road 900 East as he was going to make a left hand turn. Mugrage went around Rohr in the westbound lane. Rohr did not make the lefthand turn and continued westbound partially in the eastbound lane. Mugrage slowed behind Zumbahlen as he was about to turn left. Rohr continued westbound still partially in the eastbound lane. As Zumbahlen began to make the left hand turn Rohr struck Mugrage in the driver's side rear and then struck Zumbahlen in the rear on the passenger side.

Rohr lost control and went through the ditch on the southside of Route 33 onto the railroad tracks.  Rohr did not stop initially and continued to travel on the railroad tracks for approximately 1.3 miles before being stopped by Jasper County Deputies on County Road 775 East. Rohr was not injured.

Zumbahlen's vehicle came to a rest on County Road 1000 North and he was not injured.

Mugrage's vehicle came to a rest on the shoulder at the intersection of Route 33 and County Road 1000 North. One of her passengers, Robert B Phillips 34 of Stewardson was not injured. However, Mugrage and three juvenille passengers suffered injuries and were taken by Jasper County Ambulance to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Rohr was charged with Improper Lane Usage and Improper Passing.

Mugrage was ticketed for Operating a Vehicle Without Insurance.
