City Arrests Four People on Meth Charges

Effingham City Police arrested four people early Thursday on methamphetamine-related charges.

The four are 21-year-old Brendan M. Kemme of Effingham, 18-year-old Sierra K. Blankenship of Effingham, 19-year-old Melody R. Whalin of Effingham and 26-year-old Kristopher L. Mette of Watson.

Each defendant was arrested on counts of participation in methamphetamine manufacturing, possession of meth manufacturing materials and methamphetamine conspiracy. Mette was also arrested on a count of possession of meth.

All four were being held in Effingham County Jail.
