Effingham Man Found Dead

The Effingham County Coroner's Office is investigating the weekend death by an Effingham man.
39-year-old Steve G. Arnold was found unresponsive by a family member. Authorities were called to Arnold's rural Effingham residence at 11:35pm Saturday. Arnold was pronounced dead at the residence at 12:30am Sunday.
Effingham County Coroner Leigh Hammer said alcohol intoxication is believed to be a contributing factor in Arnold's death and her office will investigate the death.
Hammer said additional information will be made available when the investigation has been completed.
