Two Vehicle Accident in Heartville Injures 3

Illinois State Police have reported on an accident that occurred Friday afternoon at 3:35 on Route 45 and Sunset Drive in Heartville. 

A van driven by Tayler Polk, 27 of Effingham and a minivan driven by Tonyan L. Bannick 33 of Effingham were both traveling south bound on US 45 just north of Sunset Drive in Heartville.  Bannick was stopped in traffic when Polk failed to stop and struck the rear of Bannick's minivan.

Bannick and two juvenile passengers, a fourteen year-old and a one year-old, were injured and transported to HSHS Saint Anthony Memorial Hospital. 

Polk was charged with Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident.
