Injury Crash in Effingham on Thursday

One man was injured in a crash in Effingham on Thursday.

The crash happened at Fayette and Raney just before 7pm. City police report a vehicle driven by 27-year-old Jonathan Griffith of Sigel struck a vehicle driven by 46-year-old John Gillmore of Edgewood.

Gillmore was injured and was transported by ambulance to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

Griffith was cited for disobeying a traffic control device.
