A Michigan man was killed in a crash north of Salem just after 9pm Wednesday.

A van driven by 22-year-old Jesse Lee Meacham of Warren, Michigan ran off the roadway to the right and struck a semi parked on the shoulder driven by 56-year-old William Dennis Fuller of Phoenix, Arizona.

Meacham's passenger, 20-year-old Shane Donegan of Warren, Michigan, was fatally injured in the crash. Donegan was pronounced dead at the scene by the Marion County Coroner. Meacham was injured and was transported by Air Evac to St. Louis University Hospital.
