Both Drivers Killed in Clay County Crash

Both drivers were killed in a crash in Clay County over the weekend.

The crash happened at 4:38pm Saturday on US Route 50 at Heather Lane, east of Flora.

State police report a witness on scene said a westbound SUV driven by 36-year-old Steven Hostettler of Clay City crossed the centerline and collided head-on with an eastbound SUV driven by 44-year-old Jimmie D. Vaughn, Jr. of Flora.

Both drivers were pronounced dead on scene by the Clay County coroner. An eight-year-old girl who was a passenger in Vaughn's vehicle was injured and was taken to Clay County Hospital in Flora.
