State Crop Report for March 2018

The state crop report for March indicates field work is being done in preparation for planting.

Statewide, the average temperature in March was 37.5 degrees, 2.2 degrees below normal. Precipitation averaged 2.36 inches for the month, 0.01 inches below normal. 

Topsoil moisture supply was rated 2% very short, 5% short, 72% adequate, and 21% surplus. Subsoil moisture was 2% very short, 17% short, 74% adequate, and 7% surplus. 

Winter wheat condition is 5% very poor, 6% poor, 32% fair, 50% good, and 7% excellent.
