Crash in Effingham Thursday Injures One

A crash in Effingham Thursday afternoon injured one driver.

The crash happened shortly after 4pm east of the intersection of Keller Drive and Thelma Keller Avenue. City police report a vehicle driven by 67-year-old John Buerster of Newton struck a vehicle driven by 22-year-old Kaleb Hankins of Altamont.

Buerster was injured, but declined treatment.

Buerster was cited for failure to yield.
