Teutopolis village board members have awarded infrastructure work designed to assist Farmweld in its expansion.

The Board awarded water and sewer line work to Dashiell Construction of Marshall. The work will cost $227,470. The project will aid Farmweld in plans to grow its hog raising equipment production operation located just off US 40 on the east end of Teutopolis.

Village board members also tabled a proposed addition to the municipal code. The measure would identify what are dangerous buildings in the village and the procedures for getting those buildings either made safe or removed.
