Effingham Noon Rotarians learned about care for animals at their February 28 meeting.

Dr. Nanci Wood-Huels was the guest of Rotary weekly program chairman Bill Schafer. Dr. Wood-Huels is owner with husband Dr. Stan Huels of Pet Wellness Center of Southern Illinois, located at Rickelman and Outer Belt West in Effingham.

The doctor shared how pet care has developed through her years in practice and how much has been learned about the relationship between pets and those who care for them.

Kourtney Cordes was the Rotary weekly student guest. Kourtney is the daughter of Kayla and the late John Cordes and is a senior at Effingham High School.
