The 2018 Annual Effingham Artisan Fair is just around the corner on May 4-5, and a committee has been busy planning for the annual event.

The City of Effingham Tourism Office is helping to host an event that will give local not-for-profit and community groups an opportunity to inform community members about their organization and to raise funds for their cause. Whether it is selling items, hosting a raffle, providing information or a kid-friendly activity, the committee hopes groups will join in efforts to promote the community.

Space for this event is FREE to all not-for-profit organizations.

The not-for-profit portion of the event will be 5 – 8 p.m. Friday, May 5, on the Effingham County Courthouse Museum lawn in downtown Effingham. The area will be open for groups to set up beginning at 2 p.m. on that Friday. This year, not-for-profits groups will also have the opportunity to display their information on Saturday, too. The event on Saturday is from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Spots for Saturday are on a first come, first serve basis.

Other activities that evening include Community Support Systems’ Art Auction, wine and beer tasting, live music, artist soft opening and a local food fair.
