Flora Man Injured in Friday Morning Crash

A Flora man was injured in a single-vehicle crash early Friday morning.

Effingham County Sheriff's Department reports 20-year-old Logan Smith was traveling north on US Route 45, just north of 400th Avenue in Union Township. Smith lost control of his vehicle, which ran off the highway into a wooded area. The vehicle came to a stop after striking a tree.

Smith was injured and was taken for treatment to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham. No citations were issued.
