Wrapup on South Central School Board Meeting

 South Central school board members acted on a variety of items at this month's meeting.

• The board announced the Ribbon Cutting and Plaque Display for South Central High School will be Wednesday February 28th at 6 p.m. in the new lobby addition. All are invited for the ribbon cutting ceremony and open house from 6-7.
• The board set graduation dates for South Central Middle school to be May 24th and South Central High School on May 25th. Both ceremonies will begin at 7 p.m.
• The board approved an agreement between the Kinmundy Area Youth Opportunities Corporation and the district to use Webster field for the 2018 SCHS Girls Softball season.
• The board approved a recommended policy resolution from IMRF regarding insurance benefits of Support Staff members.
• The board approved an interfund loan from Working Cash to Capital projects as presented.
• The board approved FBLA State Conference to Springfield, IL on April 6 & 7.
• The board accepted a letter of resignation from Shanna Ambuehl, Certified Employee (teacher) for South Central CUSD #401 effective February 15, 2018 as presented.
• The board accepted a letter of resignation from Justin Neaville, Support Staff Employee (Custodian) for South Central CUSD #401 effective February 26, 2018 as presented
• The board accepted a letter of resignation from Jon Lotz as Baseball Coach for South Central Middle School effective the end of the 2017-2018 school year as presented.
• The board approved an FMLA leave of absence request for Cindy Garrett for January 9-23 as presented.
• The board approved a request for an extension of the FMLA leave of absence for Morgan Crouse for the remainder of the 2017-2018 school year as presented.
• The board approved a job classification change (Unit Office Secretary) for Melissa Gramlick for South Central CUSD #401 effective June 1, 2018.
