Travis Tritt to Headline Effingham County Fair

Country singing star Travis Tritt will headline the 2018 Effingham County Fair.

The fair will run July 28th to August 4th at the fairgrounds at Altamont. Fair Week was moved up one week so as not to conflict with the Illinois State Fair in Springfield.

Tritt will perform on Friday night, August 3. The evening will open with a performance by the Scott Marek Band at 7pm.

Travis Tritt has had a score of hits including "Here's a Quarter, Find Someone Who Cares", "A Great Day to be Alive", "T-R-O-U-B-L-E", "Take it Easy", and "Best of Intentions".

The rest of Fair Week will include tractor pulling, the Fair Queen Pageant, a talent show, a Junior Miss Pageant, a Rodeo, rides, horse races and the traditional fair-ender the Demolition Derby.
