Teutopolis High School senior Wittni Cotton has qualified for State competition in Dance.

Wittni, the 18-year-old daughter of John and Shelli Cotton of Teutopolis, qualified Sunday in IDTA competition at Mattoon High School. She danced to the song, "Pray" by Kesha. She finished first in the Solo competition among 15 entrants.

Wittni will participate in the State prelims on Friday, February 9, at Bank of Springfield Center (the former Prairie Capital Convention Center) in Springfield. If she qualifies, she will compete in the State Finals on Saturday, February 10.

Wittni has been dancing since she was three years old. She is part of the Teutopolis Pomerettes. The group finished third, but did not qualify for State.
