The Teutopolis Board of Education has decided against hiring an elementary teacher for now, and will wait until the next meeting. The decision came as part of a discussion of class sizes at Teutopolis Grade School.

The Board also approved the resignation of Terry Kimpling as JV girls tennis coach, but approved him as girls tennis volunteer. Jim Hakman was approved as boys tennis volunteer. The Board also hired Steve Fritcher as 8th grade boys track coach, approved a request from teacher aide Kathy Ruholl for a voluntary reduction in hours, and approved increasing teacher aide Kristin Deters' hours by 1-1/2 hours per day.

Board members also discussed next year's school calendar, a meeting with the Teutopolis Village Board regarding the village's Tax Increment Financing district and its impact on the school district, water testing results and the installation of filters on water fountains at the grade school building, and a fiber build to improve the district's internet capability.
