Business Recognition Gala Will Close Chamber's Centennial Year

The Effingham County Chamber of Commerce’s 2018 Business Recognition Gala will be held Saturday, January 20, at the Keller Convention Center and will include announcement of the 2018 Citizen of the Year and 2018 Volunteer of the Year.

The celebration begins at 5 p.m. with a cocktail reception with wine and spirits tasting sponsored by Koerner Distributor. Following dinner, the awards program will be held, honoring 2017 Chamber Board Chairman Mel Stock of Midland States Bank and introducing the 2018 Board Chairman Matt Cekander, CPA, of Doehring Winders & Co. The 2018 Excellence in Business Award recipients, John Boos & Company and Patton Printing & Graphics will also be recognized.

The Mardi Gras-themed event will include entertainment by Felix and Fingers Dueling Pianos. Cash and Prizes valued at over $3,500 will be awarded throughout the night. The Gala will be the official close to the Chamber’s Centennial Year.

The cost for the evening is $75 per person and advance reservations are required. Reservations will be accepted until Tuesday, January 16th.
