An Effingham woman has received a five-year prison sentence for a drug offense in Clay County.
Clay County State's Attorney Joel Powless said 26-year-old Brittani M. Workman was sentenced for unlawful possession of methamphetamine. Workman was ordered by Judge Robin Todd to also pay more than $3,000 in fines, fees and assessments once she's out of prison.
Clay County Sheriff's deputies arrested Workman in April for possessing less than five grams of a substance containing meth.
