Effingham Man Gets Year in Prison for Theft

An Effingham man has been sentenced to a year in prison for theft.

41-year-old Randall Kinsey had pleaded guilty in September, but his sentencing hearing was postponed in November to Wednesday. In the plea bargain, prosecutors agreed to a cap of 18 months in prison as a possible sentence. Judge Allan Lolie imposed the one-year sentence.

Kinsey was arrested last July.
