The scheduled sentencing hearing in the Jasper County case of Eugene Ochs has been continued.

The 68-year-old Ochs was arrested in December of 2016 on a charge of aggravated criminal sexual abuse. Ochs pleaded guilty in August, with prosecutors agreeing to a cap of three years in prison.

Parties for both sides learned that the pre-sentence investigation required before sentencing can take place is only about half-completed. The Court found that the delay in completing the PSI is neither side's fault.

The sentencing hearing was re-scheduled for February 13.
