Several Businesses Support United Way

A number of local businesses have made their contributions to the 2017 United Way of Effingham County Campaign.

Theresa Harner and Ross Richardson from HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital presented a check to United Way Board President Peggy Valenti and other United Way representatives.

Donations raised from the employee campaign during their 2017 campaign totaled $20,952.

Katie Smithenry and employees from Stevens Industries presented a check to Ross Richardson, United Way Campaign Co-Chair and other United Way representatives.

Employee and company donations raised during their campaign totaled $31,118. This was a 24% increase from last year.

Rick Siemer and employees from Siemer Milling Company presented a check to Ross Richardson and other United Way representatives.

Donations raised through their employee and corporate campaign totaled $20,019. That is a 6% increase from last year's campaign.

Mike Defend of Crossroads Bank presented a check to Ross Richardson and other United Way representatives.

Employee and corporate donations totaled $2,000.

Gene Niemerg and Jason Sandschafer of Niemerg's Steak House presented a check to Ross Richardson and other United Way representatives representing funds raised during their 2017 employee campaign and chicken-to-go promotion. Their campaign and promotion raised a total of $6,556.

25 local partner agencies receive funding from United Way of Effingham County.
