Two semis collided early Wednesday morning near Brownstown.

The crash happened at 12:25am on I-70 eastbound, a mile east of the Brownstown/Bluff City interchange.

State police report a rig driven by 60-year-old Gary Dixon of Detroit, Michigan struck the rear of the trailer of a rig being driven by 57-year-old Kidane Feriew of McKinney, Texas.  Feriew's rig ended up on the shoulder of the roadway while Dixon's rig came to a stop on one of the lanes.

Both drivers were injured, and were taken to Fayette County Hospital in Vandalia.
