City Police Report on Acccidents

Effingham City Police reported on accidents over the weekend.

At 3:54 Friday afternoon at the intersection of Virginia and Merchant a vehicle driven by Bradley J. Smithson, 48, of Farina, pulled into the path of a vehicle driven by Timothy D. McCormick, 17, of Edgewood. No injuries were reported. Smithson was cited for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle. 

At 9:39 Friday night at 1204 Ave of Mid America a vehicle driven by Melissa L. Hooker, 25, of Effingham, backed into a vehicle driven by Linda K. White, 62, of Mason. No one was injured. Hooker was cited for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle.

Saturday morning at 9:21 at 3007 S. Banker a vehicle driven by Trey M. Cain, 18, of Edgewood, struck a vehicle driven by James P. McClellan, 49, of Montrose. No injuries in the accident. Cain was cited for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident.
