Howell spoke about the need to finish the battle to eradicate polio. He said there were just 15 cases worldwide reported last year. Rotary is a leader in the fight under the theme "End Polio Now".

Howell also addressed the "Heart to Heart" effort to provide shade on playgrounds at schools in Mexico, corrective measures to repair kids suffering from cleft palate, and other child-helping projects.

The Rotary weekly student guest was Logan Klitzing, a son of Mike and Maria Klitzing and a senior at St. Anthony High School.
