Effingham County sheriff's deputies handled two crashes Tuesday morning, both involving injuries.

One call came at 1:59am to 7432 North 1775th Road in Bishop Township. Deputies report a car driven by 16-year-old Lauren Gephart of Dieterich was southbound when Gephart lost control of the vehicle. The car ran off the roadway and struck a culvert, then overturned before coming to rest.

Gephart was cited for improper lane usage.

The other crash occurred at 5:46am on Illinois Route 33 at the junction with Illinois Route 32 northwest of Effingham.
