Teutopolis school board members Monday discussed renovation or replacement plans for the original portion of the high school building.

The Board decided to move forward with tours by the public of the current facility. It was earlier decided to put off any vote to request funds to help with the cost of the project until next fall at the earliest.

The Board also discussed the Tax Increment Financing District being established in the village of Teutopolis and the implications for the school district, and also an intergovernmental agreement with the village; and discussed goals of the district.

Board members approved a tentative tax levy with an increase of more than 5% from last year, with a public hearing ahead of a vote on the levy at the December meeting.

The Board approved resignations from Steve Niemeyer as a regular route bus driver; and Jean and Steve Sehy as junior high Bridge Club coaches; and approved Brandon Sparks as a student teacher; and hired Lisa Miller as the grade school cafeteria helper for three days per week for two hours/day.
