Both Drivers Injured in Thursday Afternoon Crash

Both drivers were injured when vehicles collided east of the intersection of Fayette and the West Fayette Frontage Road Thursday afternoon.

The crash happened at 1:45pm and involved vehicles driven by 32-year-old Kelly Yarbough of Effingham and 59-year-old Patsy Black of Shumway.

Effingham City Police report the vehicle driven by Yarbough pulled into the path of, and was struck by, the vehicle driven by Black. 

Yarbough was taken by ambulance to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham, while Black refused treatment.

Yarbough was ticketed for failure to yield.
