Two Injured in Crash on Veterans Drive

Two people were injured in a crash on Veterans Drive in Effingham Monday night.

Effingham Police Chief Jeff Fuesting said the crash occurred at 8:09pm in the 2500 block of Veterans. 

A vehicle driven by 21-year-old Alec Finley of Effingham ran off the road and rolled over. Finley was injured, but refused treatment. Finley's passenger, though, 22-year-old Luke Rieman of Effingham was injured. Rieman was first taken to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham, then was airlifted to Carle Hospital in Urbana.

Fuesting said the crash is still under investigation.
