Members of 100+ Women Who Care Effingham County selected CASA of Effingham County as the recipient of the $13,200 contribution collected at its third membership meeting of 2017 at the Effingham Performance Center.

CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Effingham County is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing highly trained volunteers to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children in the Effingham County Court System. CASA volunteer Julie Everett represented the organization during the giving circle meeting.

100+ Women Who Care Effingham County is hosting a membership kick-off on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Tuscan Hills Winery from 5-7 p.m. Members join the organization annually and sign a commitment to donate $400 per year. The first $100 commitment supports the 100+ Women Who Care Effingham County Endowment, managed by Effingham County Community Foundation, to address future needs of the community. In addition, every member pledges to donate $100 at each of the meetings for that year (whether they attend or not) to be donated to a selected non-profit organization in Effingham County.

The 100+ Women Who Care Effingham County Endowment is a fund of Effingham County Community Foundation, an affiliate of Southeastern Illinois Community Foundation.
