A trial date will be chosen by year's end for Olney resident Glenn Ramey.

Ramey was recently found fit to stand trial on charges of first degree murder and predatory criminal sexual assault. He is charged in the death of an eight-year-old Olney girl last Thanksgiving Eve.

During a hearing Friday, a final pre-trial conference in the case was set for October 20, and that's when a trial date will likely be set.

Due to speedy trial guidelines, a jury trial for Ramey must be scheduled for no later than the December jury trial week.

At the Friday hearing, it was shared that prosecutors have not received information from State Police requested by Ramey's attorney.
