Shobonier Man Dies Pinned Under Car

A Shobonier man died Friday when the car he was repairing rolled forward trapping him beneath. A neighbor found 51 year old Terry Wilkerson pinned under the car and jacked it up freeing him.

Vandalia Fire Department and the Fayette County Sheriffs Office both responded to the scene at approximately 11:39am.  Wilkerson was pronounced dead at the scene by Fayette County Coroner Bruce Bowen at 12:04pm.

The death remains under investigation by the Fayette County Coroner including an autopsy scheduled for Saturday .
